My name is Mando and I’m an artist and illustrator from northern Sweden. I live in a 100 year old house, in a small village surrounded by forest. My home is a great source of inspiration for me.
I‘ve always been interested in art in all its forms, and when it was time to choose a high school I chose an art themed one. I didn‘t see art as a
possible career for me back then, so afterwards I had a bunch of jobs in varied categories for a good ten years. 2016 I enrolled in Sundsvalls Konstskola, my local art school, and I‘m not exaggerating when I
say it was one of the best times in my life. That’s where I got a thing for abstract art, something I always hated before. The teachers I had there made a huge impact on me and continue to inspire my art to this day.
Due to political and practical circumstances, the school closed after my first year and I decided to continue to grow and learn on my own. I got myself a studio and eventually bought a
tablet to be able to try out digital art, and this is where I am now. I am still learning and growing and I am so thankful every day, to be able to do what I love in a place I love, with people I love.
